Tetsu Fujimura, Executive Producer of Netflix’s live-action series ONE PIECE, will take the stage to present the keynote seminar “The Future of Japanese Intellectual Property in Global Adaptations.”

With Japanese content increasingly embraced worldwide and producing multiple global hits, this seminar will explore just how much attention Japanese IP is attracting and why it has become such a focus of the global content market. In addition to introducing the current state of Japanese content in the global content market, Mr. Fujimura will analyze its potential power based on his own experience and data, and share insights into future trends.

Japan has long been recognized as an “IP Treasure Box,” producing countless intellectual properties that it proudly shares with the world. This seminar will explore the current state of global adaptations of Japanese IP, with examples from both the Asian market and Hollywood. Furthermore, in an era where entertainment transcends language and national borders, we will also examine how Japanese IP continues to evolve and what new possibilities may lie ahead for the future.

Tetsu Fujimura (CEO, Filosophia Inc.)

Founder and CEO of Filosophia Inc., and founder of GAGA Communications Inc. (now GAGA Corporation). He provides consulting services to major Japanese and international companies in the entertainment industry, specializing in global film and television business. He also executive-produces Hollywood films and series based on Japanese IP (intellectual property such as manga, anime, and games, etc.). His credits include Executive Producer on the Hollywood blockbuster live-action Ghost in the Shell and Netflix’s One Piece—the first live-action adaptation of a manga to become a global hit. Seasons 2 and 3 have been announced and are currently in production.
