Toward the Launch of a New Anime Award in 2027

The symposium will discuss the establishment in 2027 of a “new anime award” that will showcase the highest standards of excellence from Japan to the world.
As Japanese animation continues to gain prominence in the global market, promoting the value of not only individual works but also the creators, producers, studios and others involved is essential to the continued growth of the industry and to building its international profile.
Tokyo Anime Next will present a symposium at TIFFCOM, moderated by Ryota Fujitsu, Programming Advisor for the TIFF Animation section, in discussion with leading industry figures. The symposium will explore the significance of establishing an international award led by members of the Japanese animation industry.

2027年からの設立を見据え、日本から世界へ最高峰の評価を提示する「新たなアニメアワード」についてお話いたします。
世界市場で日本アニメーションの存在感が増すなか、作品を始めクリエイターやプロデューサー、スタジオなどアニメに携わるあらゆる領域の価値を世界へ向けて発信することは、アニメーション産業全体の発展向上および国際的ブランディングにおいて不可欠な意義を持ちます。
「TOKYO ANIME NEXT」は、TIFFのアニメーション部門のプログラミングアドバイザーの藤津亮太氏らを迎え、TIFFCOMでシンポジウムを開催します。日本のアニメーション業界関係者が主導し、国際的なアワードを設立する意義について、業界関係者の皆様と深くお話いたします。
