The Violinist, a project selected for TGFM 2023, has won the Crystal Award (Grand Prix) — the top honor at the 2026 Annecy International Animation Festival.

To celebrate this achievement, TGFM conducted an email interview with the film’s director and producer, Ervin HAN.

In the interview, HAN reflects on the emotional impact of the film’s 11-minute standing ovation at Annecy, the trust built with international co-production partners from Singapore, Spain, and Italy. He also talks about how a chance encounter at TGFM became a turning point that significantly propelled the project forward.
