Reactions from International Participants

Quotes and feedback from participants at Japan IP Market, a joint initiative by TIFFCOM and Marché du Film, which received great acclaim at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2026.

“I attended this IP market looking for IPs for film adaptations or remakes. I had meetings with three companies: one with a company I already knew and two with companies I met for the first time. I thought it was a pretty good and efficient market. It was a shame that I missed the presentations. I hope I can join in Tokyo.”

Acquisitions, Goodfellas (Sales agent)

“We are based in Paris, France, and produce live-action content. I came looking for films to remake or novels to adapt. I had meetings with three companies, which were very interesting. Some Japanese companies are also looking for French co-producers, so there was interest on both sides. I would love to attend TIFFCOM in the autumn as well.”

Producer, Felicity Production (Production company)
